Hi..

I just got my polar ft4 today. I did 40 mins of run walk on the treadmill. Treadmill says i burned 200 calories, my FT4 says 323 calories?

Which one is more accurate?

:(

Your HRM will be more accurate but this is the first time I have ever heard of the treadmill reporting a LOWER calorie burn than the HRM.

Depends on the treadmill, depends on how your HRM is set up, depends on your max HR, depends on whether or not you walk while holding on to the handrails.

When it comes to walking, the equations for estimating calorie burn are well established and easy to program. So, when it comes to walking and some running, if you don't hold on to the handrails, and the treadmill is a known brand, there is a good chance the calorie estimate on the treadmill is very accurate. In your particular case, with the situation you describe, I would check the setup on you HRM.

HRM always as long as you have set it up correctly with you height, weight, age, etc.....
