Got to work late because it was raining and whenever that happens the buses all move slooooooow. (Plus truth be told, I am new to working out again and my body is so sore.) Anyway, so I walk in semi damp and tell my boss happy birthday. It's 9 am, mind you and everyone is chowing down on chocolate cake with a layer of cream cheese and chocolate icing (Feel free to say yummy, or salivate a little, I did  ). "We saved you a piece Jen." Ummm..... seriously, they know I have been working to loose weight, I'm just starting people and I preloaded my food today. I have to do some serious exercise just to eat dinner  (But that's another story) . So I politely decline (but boy does it look good). After a little back and forth, "are you sure", someone eats my piece. So now I am sipping my water pretending its cake. Totally not the same, but me a month ago would have jumped all over that slice. What hurdle have you avoid lately? I'd like do a mini dance in your honor! (Got to get my dinner calories in some how)

That pizza now could mean heart disease later....just keep reminding yourself YOU are strong and YOU are making the right choice!!! :)

I just stopped drinking pop/soda starting this past Monday. I have had an up and down with the drug, the sugar/HFCS AND the caffeine, for years. This time around, though, it has been easy. Maybe because I have a whole diet plan. The withdrawal from caffeine addiction wasn't too bad, I did drink black tea the one day I felt the tell-tale headache coming.

The last time I did this, pop ended up tasting way nasty after not having it for a month or two.

Way to go! That is success in my book. I just ran up and down the stairs for a few minutes just to get away from the pizza smells. when you want something bad enough you really do it.

i am addicted to potato chips ... frito's, corn chips, tostito's, any old kind of chips ! ! ! This week I bought cracker chips (27 chips for 110 calories) they are tasty and I dont have to eat the whole box (used to kill a whole bag of chips and dip without a second thought!) I just a few cracker chips and fulfill my craving just enough to close the box and carry on !

Last night was my daughters Birthday cake with family and although I cut and served the cake I did not have any :-)

It is possible to fit "unhealthy" foods into you're diet and still lose weight. As long as there is calorie deficit :)

In saying that, I'm low carbing at the moment and my win was not eating any of the hot cross buns at work today.

I have been on here about three weeks and I feel the largest hurdle was cutting out sugar. Truth be told I have absolutely NO desire for it anymore. I even felt sick when I ate half a piece of cake on my birthday this week. I now feel so much more energized from protein that I have no desire to go back.
