I do cardio 5 days a week and strength training 3 days a week. My question is strength training still gets ur heart pumping and when i plug in my strength training stuff it doesnt count for any calories burned. Im sure strength training burns some calories, do u somehow count ur strength training so it counts as some calories burnt? How would u do that? Do u think its worth doing or should i just not even worry about it? Thanks!

You can log it under cardio here, just look for Strength Training in the database.

Yeah, log it under cardio. Just keep in mind that the calories are a really rough guess.
Intensity, rests, and a bunch of other factors make it to hard for them to predict.
  • do u think if i put that i did 20 minutes of strength training that MFP guess on calories will be accurate? Im getting a HRM the end of April for my birthday so ill probably be able to tell better then. But for now i''d much rather be under than over.

When I lift, I don't rest too long between sets, & if I lift for 40 minutes, I'll enter it in MFP as 35 minutes, or lower the calories burned as lower than MFP comes up with. When in doubt, I over-estimate calories eaten & under estimate calories burned.
