Gluten Free Tailgate???

Hey Everyone,
So baseball season is rapidly approaching and I will be anxiously waiting the start of my Pirate's first game in the parking lots outside of PNC Park. I absolutely love to tailgate, but have not done it since finding out about my allergy to gluten.
Just wondering if anyone had any easy gluten-free tailgate recipes or ideas that they would be willing to share. We're going to have a grill -- but anything that can be pre-made will be peferable. THANKS!!!
Let's go Bucs!

deviled eggs, tortilla chips and salsa or guacamole, potato chips, burgers with no bun or gluten free bun (as long as they are 100% beef and no wheat based fillers) hot dogs with no bun or gluten free bun (same thing with the fillers) steak on a stick, sauasage and peppers, salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad, kebabs, lots of alcohol thats not beer, grilled chicken, bring lettuce if you dont have gluten free buns so you can wrap the burger or chicken in a piece of lettuce so you can eat with your hands. i will think of more and edit later. i tailgate all the time!!!0

DEVILED EGGS ...brilliant! I'm definitely going to bring lettuce wraps ... you might be my favorite person in the world right now :drinker:
We tailgate often too .. but usually sandwiches, strombolis, and beer lol -- which is NO GOOD for me now.
Thanks for the ideas!!0 -
Grilled Shrimp or Chicken Skewers. Most bottled Barbeque sauce is gluten free. Check the website of the brand you like it will have the info. Of course you could just do herb and lemon.
Ballpark hotdogs are gluten free. You can find gluten free buns in most grocery stores now.
Any fresh meat so you could do a Chili. Beans and Canned tomatoes are gluten free.0 -
Sausage and peppers don't necessarily need to be on a bun... Also kebabs = win0

I thought all tailgates were gluten free0

I just bought some "Cowboy Caviar" salsa from Costco and it is so delicious with tortilla chips. You also wouldn't have to worry about keeping it cool since it doesn't have mayo in it.0

LOOOVE the kabob idea! I'm worried about sausage and peppers sans bun being really messy, but also a great idea! I think I'll definitely take some toritlla chips and salsa too.0

Carefully read the packages. Many hotdogs (including chicken dogs) contain gluten. As do many brands of pre-made burgers. Also, carefully check BBQ sauces to ensure they don't have malt ingredients or soy sauce since both often contain gluten.
I realize brands in the US are different than Canada, but Grimms and Johnsonville (minus the beer brats obviously) are usually safe bets for gluten-free items.0
