I always get the "But you'd make such a great mom" speech. I usually respond with, "I also think I'd make a great prostitute but I don't plan on trying that either."
I love this response!!! It's not one that came to mind, but I am totally using it from here on out.
Brilliant! :flowerforyou:
This is a great come back. Love it!! I am more than 40 and not only do not have kids but I have never wanted them. I am the oldest of 8 and I have changed more diapers and baby-sat more than many mothers. YUCK!! Must say it turned me off them.0 -

I am 29 and me and my husband have no kids. I married my high school sweetheart and tried to get pregnant since I was 23. I got diagnosed with unexplained fertility. Then my husband got cancer and the chemotherapy made him not able to have children. So we are that couple with no kids. I get sad sometimes. But I help with my nieces and nephews and love being a good aunt!!0

This. But I would consider ONLY if I find the right guy and marry him FIRST. If it happens it happens. If not, then it's all good.
Oh...and 40 end of the year.0 -
Another no kids...54 and child free by choice. Significant other (nope, decided not to marry as well) enjoy the lifestyle. Of course, the dog thinks he's a child!0

41, been with my husband for 22 years, childfree by choice.
I consider the tv show "I didn't know I was pregnant" to be in the horror genre0 -

I will be 44 in 2 weeks I have three kids 24, 22 and 20. I have custody of my 15 month grandson that keeps me busy. I feel tired and out of breathe sometimes I just sit and call him instead of playing with him and that not good..0
