What do I need to do New Rules of Weight Lifting For Women a

I haven't finished the book yet or i'd probably know the answer to this. I would like to start looking for some equipment this weekend. On another note, i kind of notice the book seems to be talking to women who aren't really overweight. I need to lose another 60lb. Anyone start this workout while this heavy??? Thanks in advance!!!

I started at 108kg. I'm about two weeks off finishing Stage 1. I have done a blog about my experiences for this very reason (http://laurenedwards.blog.com/) Nearly everyone who has done this program only has 20-30 pounds to lose. Very few seem to be obese. It can be done.

I started New Rules last Wednesday so I can't answer about what you'd need for equipment to complete the program other than a set of dumbbells and a Swiss ball.

I have about 75lbs to lose, and I'm not following the book's advice of only a 300 calorie deficit. Losing pounds is #1 important for me at this point, and the best I can hope for is to retain the muscle I do have and just maaaaybe gain a bit more lean body mass, so I'm eating between 1600-2000 calories a day.

feel free to add me.i have about another 50-60 lbs to lose.

i did NROL4W 2 years ago when i was a bit more overweight. i followed the book's calorie advice and didnt lose weight since i was eating at maintenance, but i did gain lots of strength. i think part of the reason why i didnt lose was a)i was eating at maintenance and b) lifting weights want new to me

this time, i'm doing it but not following their calorie advice and eating at a significant deficit (500-800 calories below maintenance) since at this moment it's more important that i not be obese rather than be able to deadlift twice my bodyweight
