Bit of a silly question but need to work it out.

I am looking to start strong lifts 5 x 5 tonight if I can find someone in the gym to show me the olympic bar.

So the first workout is with the bar only.

I understand that.

What I don't understand is what I should do for warm up as if I was lifting weights I would use the bar only to warm up.

Should I do 10 mins on a cardio as this is my first time or is it ok to go in and do a straight 5 x 5 with the bar only tonight.

Then when I come to add weight to the bar on Monday do the warm up with the bar only and then do my 5 x 5?

For squats- use your own body weight as your warmup. You'll only have this problem once as you'll increase on your next workout.

bench press- same thing. Just do the motions and get your form right.

barbell row starts at 65 so you can use the empty bar as a warmup.

    60% weight for 4
    75% weight for 3
