Hi

Hi. I'm new to this site, but not so new to being overweight. I've been plump, chubby, curvy, 'a few extra pounds', thick, or whatever you want to call it, for pretty much all of my life.
I used to hate it because I grew up in a town that I didnt feel appreciated for who I was/how I looked. I was the friendly FAT girl. Oh, I had friends, sure, but I never felt completely attached to them because I felt so insecure.
When I moved to Chicago for school, I had an epiphany--in large part to the attention I was getting for actually being 'thick.' I love(d) it and had a good time with it. I dont hate myself as I am now but I do want to lose weight.
I want to lose weight for a few reasons (not in order of importance):
1) so I can appreciate my health and body even more
2) so I can be the mommy I want to be--active, playful, participating
3) so I can be healthy as a diabetic.
I'm sure there are other reasons, but those are the ones that come to mind initially.
I am on here with/thanks to my sister. I intend to stick to this regime and get to my goal weight. I'm excited and ready for this. LETS DO IT!

Find the current physical attributes of yourself that you love, accept the ones you don't, and have the confidence, desire, dedication, and preservation to embrace your new lifestyle.

Just remember.... no time limit goals. Simply get to your goal no matter how long or how short of time frame it takes!!! Once you learn the VERY easy mechanics to a healthy lifestyle you'll not only feel more confident and comfortable in your own skin, you'll feel empowered to take on any challenge.

Last but not least CELEBRATE every week WHETHER YOU'VE LOST WEIGHT OR NOT!!! It's not WHERE you are, it's WHERE you are going.
