"Cool" Fitness Aid

I thought this was interesting -- especially the part where it said performance athletes have known this for a while.

When they put cooling gloves on people who were trying to lose weight, they were able to work out longer and lose more weight than people who didn't chill their hands while they worked out. The theory is that our palms act like rabbit ears or dog tongues to shed excess heat, and the better that system works, the longer we are able to work out:
