Just a quick question

Hello, I am new here, I've been using MFP for about 3 weeks now. I am down at least 1 pant size (possibly two) and my before diet jeans are loose. I am walking about 1-2 miles almost everyday, weather permitting. I am on a 1200 calorie diet and usually come in lower than my calorie goal. I know I am losing inches because my pre-diet jeans are sagging on me. Because of all the walking I am doing I am replacing the fat with muscle which weighs more.
This is my question: at what point will I start to actually lose weight, not just inches? Or maybe I shouldn't be concerned about the weight and care more about the inches.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

Eventually, your body will figure out what you're trying to do! Sometimes it can take a while for it to figure out you want to drop weight! Congrats on the huge number of inches lost! That is fantastic!
I like to say my body is "redistributing" my weight when I stall. I was stalled for 6 weeks recently. I'm losing now though. I lose in spurts and stutters. Annoying, but at least it comes off!
Keep doing what you're doing, the weight loss will come in time!0
