Wow, it doesn't take long for me to fill up on carbs!

I am still struggling with hitting my fat/protein targets, although I am much better at consuming fat (almonds, avocado, fish.)
I didn't realise how easy it is to go over your carb intake - to think that I have cut back significantly compared to what I used to eat!... I had a Hot Cross bun on Thursday and 2 small solid easter eggs. I'm ok with this, but I probably should've chosen one over the other.
I had spaghetti bolognese for breakfast (treat meal!!) and that's lead me to have to really watch my carbs for the rest of the day. And it looks like I'm not going to get anywhere near my calories for today, but I'm loath to up it too much because carbs seem to be in everything I eat lol.
This is all a learning curve for me, it'll take some experimentation and fine-tuning on my part. But I'm fairly happy with my food choices overall. I think the vast majority of my food choices are healthy.
Any ideas on what to add to my diary today or any critique on what I'm eating generally? Thanks

Hello!
I have looked at your diary and from what I can see all I could suggest is some more ham & cheese to increase your protein.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions, acfkaren. I think I'll just have to play around, make better carb choices and add in more protein.0

I had a quick peek at your diary - more just looking at totals - you're not going over total calories and you're not going over on your carbs but your protein intake is low. I'm not sure about the ham and cheese recommendation (even though I do like both!) maybe something a little leaner (both tend to be a bit high in fats) like chicken or turkey breast to your dinner or a couple of eggs at breakfast, maybe even add a protein shake?0
