Hey just wondering if anyone has used it before. My buddy is a runner and absolutely loves it. Says it does wonders for his breathing while he runs.

Yep. Taken it off and on for many years. The off part is when I gain weight and feel like a lump of lazy lard. Problem is, it's hard to get, it's about to get even harder to get, and it's not sustainable. You can and will build a nasty tolerance. You're better off losing weight and getting fit without it. But there's no doubt the stuff works for some people. Although I've never figured out if it works for me because it's an 'upper' or if it works because it helps my near-year-round allergies, or both.0

I used it back in 2000, it was easy to get then. I lost about 80lbs. in a short time however I got some Nasty side effects from it. Not really wanting to use it again besides it's next to impossible to get and is only a tempory fix. I had some withdrawl when I stopped using it anyways. It is dangerous.....0

I have taken it, but not for weight loss. Back in the college days when I was working and trying to pass my classes, I used it to stay awake. It speeds up your heart rate and came make you feel jittery. I wouldn't recommend taking it during exercise because of these side effects.0

i have taken in it back years ago and it sure worked. i lost 20 lbs in 2 months.... it did have side effects though, it made me nervous, very dry mouth, heart would race and be WIDE awake for a long time... it was taken off the market in the diet pill i was suing it in... i doubt i'd use something like that ever again.0

From a medical point of view: HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED
This should be given to you by your doctor if it is necessary because it literally messes with your sympathetic nervous system and causes increased myocardioactivity as well as blood pressure.
Side effects are dangerous to long term cardiovascular health. Please do NOT take it unless it is prescribed.
It is used as a bronchial dilator to help some people breathe, but if you're just wanting to lose weight (and assuming your're already putting additional loads on your heart because of your weight) you really shouldn't add additional stress to your heart.
In Chinese traditional medicine, it is considered a 'yang' drug, which increases metabolic rates in the body to toxic levels and should only be used to counteract 'ying' problems such as insufficient breathe, etc because the benefits out weight the risks at that point.0 -
thanks everyone for the reply's. I am Canadian and you can literally get it everywhere for cheap, that's why I thought I would ask you guys.0
