Need some sugar advice

Okay so I joined MFP about 2 weeks ago and have found this site really informative and pple here are really nice so I thought I would ask for some help.
The one thing I am always over on, by alot, is sugar. The standard or recommended amount for me is 24 grams based on my mfp profile, but I believe that is a standard overall for women
My sugar sources however, are mainly coming from fruit as I don't indulge in extra sources of sugar (cake, pastries, chocolate) nor do I add sugar to my coffee
I am a vegetarian and love fruit.
Normally I have:
2 oranges and a banana
or
berries and oranges and sometimes a banana
apples, banana
etc etc
Bananas are very high in sugar yes, but I eat them cause I fell full after.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Normally my sugar is about 60-70g after I am done for the day and that is a lot for me but I do not want to give up fruit

So, right now I am trying to not have any sugar. Since I eat a lot of carbs to run, that is almost impossible, since carbs easily come with things like fructose, lactose, etc. So, I have learned that you should look at the individual counts of foods for your sugar (i.e. look at the table under "food". Since you say that you stay away from things like cakes, pastries, candy, etc., I would say that your sugar is not something you should worry about! Of course, nothing should be in excess, but 60-70g of completely natural sugar is perfectly fine.0

Some research says that 90 grams is the upper limit of fructose and some other research says 20-40 grams. What do we do? Take the middle figure and just go with around 50-60.
So, let's take two oranges and a banana. How much fructose is in that? 200 calories worth of an orange contains around 9g and 200 calories of a banana has around 11g. 600 calories worth of oranges and a banana = 31g of fructose. Considering the ranges, you're golden, pony boy.
You're going to have a hard time consuming enough fruit to hit around 50-60g of fructose. So, my two cents? Don't worry. Enjoy your fruit. There's too much sugar alarmism on these boards as well as sodium. Don't fret.0 -
I don't track sugar. also don't track sodium. I work to keep those down, but don't bother with the numbers. if you are eating better than you were, those numbers will be better than they were. and when it comes down to it, in the grand scheme, calories are the biggest thing to worry about here.0

Look for lower sugar fruits and if you want to feel full, try avocado or coconut based snacks or recipes.0

I read somewhere, and I'm sorry but I don't remember where, that unless you are watching sugar because of a medical issue, not to count the sugars in fruit and dairy. I can't see that your fruit would do any harm. Anyone else follow this?0

Thanks for the advice evry1
The reason I track sugar is because my family, on both parents sides, have diabetes..but also cancer and heart attack so I track sodium as well
I was a junk food addict but changed this recently as I started feeling tired and sick and just knew I had to turn things around ASAP
The rest of my levels r ok...just found sugar to be high0 -
I, too, have read not to count the sugars in fruit and dairy as they're naturally occurring and not added. When I first joined MFP, like you, I was so frustrated because I could not stay under the recommended sugar amount. I no longer log sugars.0

I am always really over my sugar due to the amount of fruit I eat but natural sugar and normal sugar I'm led to believe are totally different.
I just concentrated on
Calories
Protein
Fat
Fibre
MFP has worked fantastic for me up til now.
