Which Volumetrics book would you recommend?

I saw a segment on the news years ago where a group of firemen lost weight by replacing their normal doughnut or muffin with LOTS of other foods for the same amount of calories. The idea is that while you would wolf down the original item and probably still want to eat more, with the replacement you will usually quit eating before you eat the full amount. I loved the concept (because I love food! HAHA  ) but couldn't remember the name of the "diet". I think that Volumetrics might be it or at least it's the same idea and would like to get the book. I understand how it works (replace dense foods with higher volume foods and high calorie foods with more of lower calorie foods) (example: eat grapes instead of raisins), but I would really like the charts that show food suggestions (instead of eating 1 large chocolate muffin you can eat 2 chocolate chip cookies or even better you can eat 2 cups sugar free nonfat chocolate pudding). My library doesn't have the books so I can't preview them, so I was wondering which Volumetrics book you would recommend - the Volumetrics Eating Plan or the Volumetrics Weight Control plan? Also wondering if anyone has read the Eat This, Not That book - looks interesting, but is it worth getting? (Sorry for rambling.:embarassed: )
THANKS!!

Sorry to be a nag, but has ANYONE ever even read these books? I would love to get some input before spending the money to buy one. Thanks, again.

I haven't read the books, but you can try google books or amazon for a preview. Or, you can use MFP to see how much a chocolate muffin is (calorie-wise), and then eat the equivalent number of calories in vegies and whole grains...

Edit: you might also try "eat this, not that" for healthier similar substitutions.
