I see that a lot of people on this site ask for support and new friends to support them. I am genuinely curious.. Have the people you added supported you? Consistently? How? I only have 2 friends and I know them in my everyday life so I am honestly curious. Thanks!

Almost all mfp friends are virtual. They are supportive and friendly! That said, it does take time to build meaningful relationships - real or virtual. I have only been on a month, so I am sure some people will drop out and others will be less supportive, but if you get even a few good friends here, I think it is a real win. Cheers, Matt

The few I have support each other. Sometimes its hard to get support from a spouse, friends, family, coworkers. But the ones I have on here do give encouragement and ideas.

I just dont want to add people who will sit on my friends list and we will never speak. Legit concern I think... No friends for the sake of having a higher number.

I joined over a month ago. I have gotten great motivation and advise from everyone. :flowerforyou:

No, not really, a few do though. I don't get too hung up about it.

I have a great group of friends - haven't met any of them in person. I'll be honest though . . . I registered over a year ago, I was doing ok, but not great. Then a few months ago, I saw some post of people looking for more friends, friends who log on consistently, who would really help them w/ their journey. I thought that was smart.

So, along w/ my original group of friends, I started reading post looking for people who I thought were funny, supportive, shared some commonalities - - I'm finding great people. People who support me DAILY!! The difference? From December - February, I lost 5 lbs. In the month of March alone, I've lost 10. Proof that great support matters.

    Just my two cents.

Great way to put in Proud Texas...We Texans stick together. You must always have friends for motivations and support. The people I have on my friends list are all very positive, make great suggestions, support you on how you are feeling. I try to comment on everyone on my friends list. You must have good support to help you with your new journey in life. You can do this...
