Question about losing a large amount the first couple of wee

Hello,
About two weeks ago I decided to just eat as clean as I could. Lots of veggies and fruits, eating smaller meals more often, trying to be aware of eating more protein as it's something I have to be mindful to include.
In the middle of this was my birthday, and sort of decided I would go all out for a 3-day weekend, desserts, drinks, etc, knowing I would be back to the healthier options this week. I finally bought a digital bathroom scale which is much more accurate than the one I'd had before, and have only been tracking my weight for the last week, starting on the third day of the less healthy eating. in that time, I've lost 5-6lb. I weigh 174 now, started at 180. I have a fair few to lose, hoping to be down to 125-135 eventually (though primarily just fit and healthy), but did not expect to do more than 1-2lb this week. Have been netting 1450-1600 calories, and walking two miles a day.
So... was just wondering how much of this would be water weight? I don't expect to make a 5lb loss every week, and I didn't expect the scale to go down 2.5lb from yesterday! Will it taper off as I continue, or is this sort of loss possible on occasion? Could some of it not be water weight?
Thanks very much!
