I was reading the nutritional facts on my box of raisin bran and this confused me. It had Total Carbohydrate 49g then in that category it says dietary fiber 6g, sugars 24g and then other carbohydrate 19g.
My question is what the heck is other carbohydrates?

I understand what Carbs are what I was not sure of was what other carbs are. If they are just part of the whole carbs why separate it from carbs.
Edit: But thank you for the link. It is a great explanation.0 -
the number of grams of complex carbohydrates, not including fiber, but including non-digestible additives, such as stabilizers and thickening agents. This number should reflect the amount of the more nutritious sugars, that is the ones naturally present in the food.0

Thank you very much for the quick answers. My wife is a new diabetic and her nutritionist wants her to eat so many carbs, protein ect per meal and we where not sure if we should include the other as part of the regular carbs or add it to the regular carbs.0
