Angry eating or drinking stuff? Yes and NO!

I'm not sure if it's TOM or time of life or just plain stupidity, foolishness, anger, walking in the flesh instead of The Spirit or a combination of all of the above.

I'm having a cup of coffee right now (as I type), because I'm mad at my boyfriend/dh. I'm mad at him b/c he bought a pair of jeans for his birthday that cost an arm and a leg. He loves a certain designer brand clothes that are super expensive. It's not that we can't afford it, yes I am probably being a witch--but it makes me  as  (literally) to see him buy jeans that look like they came out of a garbage dump (ya know, the idiotic jeans that look dirty or worn out:mad: :explode: )and paid big bucks for them. So....I seethingly stormed out the house with the intention of "showing him" :noway: and got a cup of coffee with the "threat" of getting some yucky McDonald's too. I was a former coffee junkie and haven't had ANY coffee since January 20th, 2012. I got a HUGE cup (probably about 20 oz or more and put some flavored cream in it and have had about 6-10 sips.:smokin: :brokenheart:  :grumble:

I've NEVER been an "angry/emotional eater" and I feel really dumb and at the same time strangely justified too:huh:

Why put this into NSV? Because I was going to get a nasty (to me) Sausage McMuffin this morning too...but just couldn't/wouldn't do it. I also haven't had any meat or junk food since January 20th, 2012 either.

So...Any other angry eating NSV's out there?

ETA; I'm also posting this as an NSV.... because I'm posting this (telling on myself openly) rather than not write it down and expose my  "mess"

    Good girl!

    And enjoy that coffee......

Listen, let him get whatever he can afford to get for himself no matter how stupid or ridiculous it may seem to us..... and I gotta tell you.... it would annoy the heck out of me too. But it's his life and his appearance and HIS right to wear them......

Be glad that you have a partner that cares about his appearance enough to go out and get himself sorted out.... most men are sitting at home whining at YOU for buying THEM the wrong pair of jeans..........We get so caught up in our own issues about appearance and personal body image, we forget that other people have their own issues..... even if your partner is in great shape and seems confident on the outside, he may be just as insecure on the inside as the next guy. Maybe he's waging his own battle to look good and this is his best attempt? We forget that there is more to personal appearance and style than JUST the weight and WHAT fits...........You want him to support you in your goals..... go admire his stupid jeans and comment on how great his *kitten* looks in them :)

    :flowerforyou:

p.s. WTG on the personal victory of refusing that Sausage mc yummy :)...... frigging LOVE THOSE THINGS

i had the exact same experience today with coffee! i quit many months ago, but was so exhausted today, i felt i 'needed' it. however, like you and mcdonalds, i felt like i had a little victory because at the final moment placing my order, i asked for decaf, but part of me still feels weak!
    but we're not weak!
keep rocking your goals, and remember we can't control what other people do, want or need - EVEN (especially?) when it's our partner! :)

That's deep girlfriend...and you're right and I do so appreciate your wise and good words.

A little while ago, I asked him to forgive me for judging him. He told me he totally does and doesn't mind me "judging" him, but that he wants me to take my anger against him to The Lord, instead of holding it against him, because he said he NEVER judges or gets mad at me when i do stuff he doesn't like (and he doesn't and believe me, I do A LOT of stuff he doesn't like too:blushing: ) and that I'm only hurting myself (getting mad and eating and drinking stuff in the name of "I'll show you"he didn't say that part, i am saying that...but that's what he meant and I agree) and hurting God (by judging him and getting sinfully ANGRY:mad: for something I don't like--when I do the sames things and worse--spending money on handbags, shoes and other "stuff" he NEVER complains about ever) hurting God more by being "mad" and getting all super angry at him, and he's right. He's a really super generous, and fabulous hubby(he's my childhood sweetheart too) and wonderful father and gives me anything my heart desires and we've been married for many, many, MANY moons. I didn't speak to him all day today (and we can count on one hand the times we haven't spoken all day in ALL the years we've been married). It was totally ME ( I was mad at him:devil: --he wasn't mad at me, he totally forgave me and I admit that frankly I was tripping hard. He's my boyfriend again:heart: and it is again now well with my soul--YAY:happy:

Well, it sounds like she did walk to get the coffee :-)

Also...this is why I don't share $$ with my current SO... makes life SO much easier :-)
