My husband makes me really yummy egg tacos and I love them! He scrambles 1 egg, puts a small amount of cheese on it and puts it in a small corn tortilla. Yum!! That is what I love best and it is low calorie and high in protein.

Not to toot my own horn, but you should quick out my postings "huevos rancheros - low cal n' tasty," and "crustless quiche - aka fritatta." My sweetheart and I eat these pretty regularly and feel they are very low-card / low-cal. The huevos involves eating your egg over black beans (no tortilla) and the frittata involves mostly egg whites, veggies, and a small amount of cheese.

Of course, never underestimate the filling power / healthy feeling of a banana, an apple or a tiny bit of fruit salad, or just some berries. Not to ramble, but a bit of healthy cereal with some berries in there is terrific.
  • Whole wheat french toast is my favorite!n All you need is one egg, 2 slices of whole wheat bread, and 2tbs of milk (1tsp of vanilla, cinnamon, or nutmeg is optional). Mix the egg and the milk and dip the bread and cook on the stove. I eat it either plain, or with 1/2 tbs of honey and a side of fresh fruit. I also like to do breakfast burriots with whatever I have laying around. Eggs, spinach, onions, peppers, breakfast meats of all varities, salsa, cheese, etc....really anything can go in a whole wheat torilla and it's delicious!

I like porridge made with oats and semi-skimmed milk over a sliced banana. The banana is sweet enough that you don't need to add any other sweetness. Filling, tasty and cheap to make in minutes.

Ok this might kind of defeat the point that you don't have much in the house but you could easily make them without some of the ingredients

And I'm gonna try these 2mo, they look amazing

I made them! I used oatbran instead of rolled oats, mine came out at 131 cals each

If you bake a batch you can easily reheat for ease, perfect for busy people

I had mine this morning with fromage frais/chopped raisins/chopped almonds and some honey
