I am 47 years old. I need to lose 125 lbs. I can not do the weigh in every week, I get to disappointed very easily. So my goal goal is once a month., but the first week I did weigh and had lost 4 lbs. So on April 18th I will weigh again. I am keeping my calories to what it says. My problem is that I have had Bi-lateral knee replacements, so I am having to start slow. I have been sedentary for many years because of the knee problems. So I am going to start slow and work up to a faster pace....I just need the encouragment to do it...after having not done anything for years its easy to say tomorrow.

Nana,
Same here, just joined in March 2012. Have issues with portion control, lack of exercise due
to current health issues. 44 year old male 5ft tall at approximatey 195 pounds.
looking for support from someone that is willing to keep me accountable for the portion control.
Will take advise on what steps to take.
I think you can do this program, good idea to start out slow and work your way into it.

Hi Nana
I am in a similar situation to you. I think starting out slow and adding a bit of exercise each week is good when we have knee issues. I tried pushing myself before only to stop because of too much pain.0 -
Slow and steady wins the race! You will get there sooner than you think ~ Good Luck0
