porn for bored housewives.........I dont need to read my porn,I prefer it on screen. But if I was pressed to pick a book of this nature I would have to go with The story of O
Not necessarily and I actually read over most of those parts. It was when I got past the first third (approx.) that I started to enjoy it more - when the focus was more on the psychological aspects of who he was. I don't think you can compare reading the books to watching porn. There's a difference between reading fictional words and watching real people.0 -
Oooh yes I've read all 3. Love them all! Book 2 was a bit on the boring side, but I had to keep going - I enjoyed #3 - but I think they could have made that book into a couple books! I wanted more!!!0

i read that book! It only took me a day and half because I just couldn't put it down! I loved it.0

No there is not, women just like to say that. There is no diffrence between reading about someone getting f***ed and watching someone getting f***ed. In that case I guess those penthouse forum letters are not porn since its words on a page. This is porn geared toward women, men get off by watching people do it,women get off by reading about and calling it a "love story"
why else would a book so poorly written end up a bestseller?0 -

It's not the kind of book I would normally read and probably wouldn't have even discovered by now if it hadn't been recommended to me as a (free) fanfiction. I don't know about the penthouse forum letters having never read them - but if they are about real people I wouldn't read it. We can agree to disagree but words about fictional people will always be different to real life people acting in my view.0 -
Im almost done with the 2nd one and Im sure I will read the last one.0

I want to read it so bad! But my mom made a comment about how it's so bad so I'm going to have to wait until I move out!0

This book is bad. Poorly written. Its a big contradiction. I'm on second book and just don't get why people like this.
Both characters are annoying. And the sex is completely farfetched. Honestly, read something worthwhile.0 -
I cannot tell if I like this book or hate it, yet I cannot put it down. The main characters annoy me to no end. I dislike the dialog and find it very far fetched..yet something keeps me coming back.0

Finished the series a few weeks ago & loved it - once I got past the fact that it's poorly written. I liked the development of Christian's character a lot - he's one #@*!?ed up individual with a heart of gold. Christian Grey beats sparkly vampire any day of the week.
I didn't find the sexual situations "abusive" - as some in the national media (Dr. Drew!) have claimed. In fact, there's a whole lot more "vanilla" encounters than BDSM ones. And the BDSM encounters in the book weren't all that intense, in my opinion. Maybe I'm desensitized or something - my husband works at a porn store, so I've seen a LOT.0 -
Just finished book #1 this morning! I started it yesterday morning, no joke! Mesmerized! I just ordered the next 2 on Amazon, they are getting delivered the 17th, I can't wait! Laters, baby.0

It would be interesting to know how many of the women that are all gaga over this book think that if their husbands watch porn its cheating and/or disrespectfull im sure a good number.
Not me. He works away, so we both need a little something to keep the motor running while we're0 -
Just bought it on Amazon the other day and it's on it's way here. Can't wait to start it!0

Not here. We have an extensive porn collection and I LOVE watching it with my husband. He also shares his email "Morn Porn" with me. Anyone who thinks their husband watching porn is considered cheating needs to look at themselves and wonder WHY they feel this way or better yet: Why not snuggle up with him while he's indulging? You might learn something. :flowerforyou:0 -

LOL! The farfetched sex is the whole point of it!! Why am I going to waste my time reading something that's not hot and vanilla? I write erotic fiction and my husband gets to benefit from the raunchy sex that I write. The whole point is the fantasy.0 -
I almost bought it just last night but some of the customer reviews were REALLY bad so I settled on something else. Although, from the posts on here describing the raunchy sex, I'm not gonna lie... i'm kind of rethinking my decision :bigsmile:0

I'm on chapter 5 of the second book. I LOVE them! I can't put it down. Aside from the Nicholas Sparks books I've never read anything as fast as these.0
