I don't want any "expert" opinions, please. Or get anybody fired up about eating exercise cals or not. There are plenty of debates on here about how many net cals you should eat. Please be nice to all your fellow posters.
I would like to see some people that have lost more than 50 lbs......I love to read real progress stories, it gives the best motivation! What was your starting weight or how much more do you have to lose? Do you eat your exercise cals or not? Do you eat back only some? If you do eat them back or some, how much do you try to net? How long did it take you to lose the weight so far? Do you have "cheat" days or whatever you prefer to call it? What did you learn along the way? What kind of exercise do you prefer and how long? I know, a lot of questions. Answer some or all.
What has worked best for you? No judging here, just real stories. . Thanks to all that take time to answer. And congrats to all of you that are doing your best to get healthier!!!

Once upon a time (about 5 years ago) I lost 70 lbs by counting calories. I used a program on my computer called DietOrganizer. I started at 239 and made it to 169. I'm 5'6". I exercised daily, usually an elliptical at home or an exercise video. Then I was in a car accident and I couldn't exercise. I became depressed, started to gain...got pregnant...gained more...Now my son is 3.5 and I found this site and am redoing what I've done before. I think that having the support of other people are what is going to make it different this time
Oh and I had never heard of 'eating back your exercise calories' back then. I would eat around 1500-1800 a day and exercise about 30 minutes a day.0
