I was kind of surprised when I was watching the Chalean Extreme beginning video and she was sharing some meals and one of the things was eating sugar free Jell-o (she actually mixed Jell-o, pudding and whipped cream together). I just never thought about eating them before, but I'm wondering who does. I guess moderation is the key. I had some sf pudding for smoothies and I made up a little bit today because I wanted something sweet.

I do eat powdered peanut butter, which is fairly processed, what else do you allow yourself to eat that's processed if you try and eat mainly clean type stuff.

Portion control is better for me.
  • Portion control/moderation with real sugar is also better for me. I try to avoid fake sugars because I find I will go a little overboard and start eating them every time I want something sweet. Mostly, I have to re-frame my thinking!

I still eat real jello and real pudding, just in small amounts and just enough to satisfy my sweet craving. I can NOT stand the taste of artificial sweeteners and sometimes the sugar free stuff gives me a horrible headache.

I stay away from anything that has splenda or aspartame in it. I would rather eat a smaller portion with real sugar.

I personally like the sugar free jello. Especially with a quick (no more than 10 g) squirt of a real-cream reddiwhip (no trans fats!). I don't do it every day, but sometimes when I'm going to be around people having dessert, it's nice to feel like I'm having dessert with them. Normally I avoid aspartame like the plague, but in that tiny little 10-calorie serving I don't feel like I'm getting so much. Especially since (like all dessert should be) it's a 'sometimes' treat.

due to medical reasons, I have to limit my sugar intake. I just bought some sugar free jello but haven't tried it yet. I am skeptical about it since I have fake sweetener but my friend swears you can't taste the difference if you put whipped topping on it. If it doesn't taste great, I will go back to smaller portions of the regular. I may go to a restaurant store and buy little cups to make individual servings for me.

I do this too. I usually slice a banana into it as well. Great desert. I have no issue with the sugar free jello puddings and usually keep some in the fridge.

Fake sugar or real sugar - molecularly the body doesn't tell them apart. Therefore, the brain doesn't tell them apart. If your goal is to provide your body with the best honest nourishment you can, why cheat it with commercially processed, industrial fakeness? Show your body integrity and it will return the favor with a healthy metabolism and stronger bones and muscles.
