My power goes out often and stays out for hours at a time (or this winter it was off for several days). So I'm calling "time served" on this one. I am going to be reading a book at that time but I will be using a CFL bulb if that helps you at all.

I'd rather everyone be energy-conscious all year that turn all their crap off for an hour tonight...but that's just me.

I conserve every day, so there won't be much difference at my house. I will probably turn all the lights out when I watch my 2 hours of TV tonight. I DVR programs I like, then watch about 2 hours per day in the evening of something I've previously recorded. I prefer that because I can FF through commercials and pause any time I need to.

I didn't know that was today, in honor of it everyday I am very concious, but tonight I am turning in early, so everything will be off 3 hours early than normal!

Well I missed it but I did do a lot of organic things today. Minus killing the ants and spiders with a hazardous spray. But after I killed the ants getting into my house I poured witch hazel on a paper towel and stuck it in the hole they found. Also I used my soap/baking soda spray to spray on my roses to keep the pesking butterfly caterpillars off and get rid of the powdery mildew. Of course I did a few planting today too. All organic of course. All the way down to the soil!

Soil by definition is a mix of organic and inorganic i thought.

For ant hills i have found that ethanol (organic) and an ignition source work well. Obviously not for ants in the house. I have herd that acetic acid works for them as well

This made me laugh so hard hahaha, thank you. Come to Nelson BC... there are far too many that need a hose down.

I held my fart for another hour to reduce methane gas just for that period.

I hope to get to BC soon. Though I have no idea where Nelson is, I'll bring my bucket and hose.

The soil I use is organic. I wasn't doing anything to the ant hills in the yard. Too many to deal with right now. I found where they are coming in the house at and dealt with that area. Haven't seen any in the house since.
