i think i pulled a muscle in my back

ugh, lifting thursday, my back was tight, but i didn't think too much of it. all day friday I wasn't in pain, but i was a tad sore. this morning while starting my lift, my back basically seized up, and now I'm stuck in the chair icing it.

does anyone know how long it takes for pulled muscles to heal up, typically? and, other than ice, any remedies??
