I want to throw a chair very time I hear someone say "irregardless"

My personal hate: "Here here", instead of "hear, hear".

And misuse of the term 'literally'. As in 'I literally drop dead from exhaustion'. Really? I must be the new Derek Acorah, then.

I can't bear 'would of'/'could of' etc. It's HAVE, people! (Amy's head explodes with rage.) (Not literally.)

Thank you... I get heartily sick of seeing pedants on chatboards. If somebody asks for a critique of their posting then fine - if not, keep quiet.

I am here to lose weight and learn to live a healthier lifestyle. I am not the grammar police, nor should anyone else (be). If I start spending my time critiquing the spelling/ grammar of others on MFP I have taken my attention off of my goals. If someone can't spell....that is none of my business. A misspelled word doesn't cause anyone harm.

    Actually, it should be:

Your belt may be loose, if you lose weight.

I am losing weight, and the shirt is loose.
