In the past I've given up at this point... What works for yo

This weight loss thing is not my first rodeo. I'm right around the same weight where I've given up in the past. I'm looking different, feeling different, but the scale does not move. I can feel the funk coming on and I'm fighting myself everyday to continue. I will get through this, but the obsession with the number on the scale is driving me nuts. There have been many NSVs: Friday night my two bffs drove up to my condo and I stood on the sidewalk waiting for them to park and walk them in. They didn't recognize me! These two don't just passivly pass out compliments like candy. I see them at least twice a week and this is the first time they've noticed a difference. Last night one my bffs and I went shopping for a dress and without Spanx, at 9:00 pm, the dress looked really good on me from every direction. I have more energy, I'm moving at ton more while breaking every goal my FitBit has set for me - yesterday I not only completed the goals, I doubled them!
Do any of you have this problem? What have you done to get over the hump? Any advice would be much appreciated!

It seems like the last few pounds are the hardest doesn't it. I'm just in the beginning so it's been fairly easy. But a few years ago when I hit an all time high for me, 279....I joined the gym, and built myself up til I was in there 6 days a week. To me, being active was the key. I'm unable to afford a gym right now, so I make do with 5 mile power walks with weights every day, and at lunch I go the gym here on campus and walk up and down the stairs for at least 30 minutes. And I counted EVERY CALORIE THERE WAS TO COUNT....Wish I never lost that life style but I did. But it's not too late. I'm back at it. Keep it up...YOU CAN DO IT!0

OK, I'm having a hard time seeing what the problem is, you're feeling good, you're looking good (I'm assuming your BP and lipids are in the healthy ranges?).
The number on the scale is just that, a number. Don't focus on that - your scale is actually your enemy if it causes you to think negatively of your progress.
A little mental toughness is in order, it sounds like you're doing the right things and feeling good. Stay on the path and you're going to feel even better!0 -
It sounds like whatever routine you are on is working for you. I believe you should stop depending on the scale and go with your clothes. I am the opposite. I got the number where i wanted it but i cant my clothes to go smaller. NSV are sometimes the best and if you are replacing muscle with fat then the number might not change. Start taking measurements instead of weighing yourself...0
