My 1st NSV

I'm a 47 year old male. I joined MFP on 1/29. I started at 255 carrying most of my weight in my belly. I've lost 26.2 pounds so far and am 1.2 pounds away from my BMI moving from obese to overweight. That's not my NSV but my backstory.

Today was my weigh in day and I only lost half a pound where I have been losing 1.5 - 2 pounds a week. In the past I would get to this point and get discouraged because my weight loss has slowed down. I know it's only a week and in the long run that isn't much at all. Instead of getting discouraged I got energized and soldiered on with the doing the 30DS shred as I have been for the past 27 days. It's joining this site that keeps me going. Thanks to all for posting your successes and struggles, it's keeping me focused. On to month three of my lifestyle change!

Congratulations on nearly being overweight! I can't wait to lose the obese label either!
It's great to that you have gotten through a smaller weight loss week too, I used to be the same. Its reading all the success story's ( like yours) on here that keeps you motivated. Last time I had a small weight loss, the following week I lost 4lb!
Good luck on the rest of your weight loss journey, but you won't need it, your mind is in the right place to get your body there too :-)

this is so true i never worried about my weight it was just me. and not til i decided to make the life style change that i realised how sluggish and lazy i had become. but my biggest moment was reaching that stage that i was no longer obese it really put a smile on my face.
Congrats to you and keep going the little weight losses all add up too and it has spurred you on a bit too.

Lol, very true, I'm 37 pounds from normal!

I'm going to stay dedicated to this regardless of what the scale says and take it a day at a time. In the past I've been impatient and when results weren't showing quickly I'd just give up and go back to my old ways. This time I've set some attainable goals and will stick to it!
