i saw a thread about this but now i cant find it so i will ask myself. should you continue to work out if you are sore? or is that your body crying for rest? or should you keep working out so you dont lose momentum? im confused and have no idea. i am not a crazy fitness buff, i do some aerobics classes 3 or 4 days a week and at least one day do a muscle conditioning class. and yesterday i did the muscle class and i am sore. so should i take a break today or still go to aerobics???

I work out 5 times a week rotating cardio and strength training. The soreness you are feeling is from microscopic tears in your muscles (which is a good thing) from lifting weights. It could also be from lactic acid build up. My opinion is as long as the aerobics doesn't have anything to do with strength training and isn't for more than an hour do it. It will actually help push the lactic acid out of your system.0

I did alot of exercise yesterday.. 33 minutes on wii fit followed by approx 3 hours on just dance with friends.. and today im aching so much ive decided ive got to have a rest if i want to be able to workout properly tomorrow.
I think sometimes your body tells you when you physically cant.. if the soreness isnt so bad maybe do your exercise lightely?0 -
If your muscles are sore go ahead and do your aerobics the activity with actually help your muscles loosen up. If you are feeling "pain" and not just muscle soreness forego the workout for today.0
