OK, I was getting ready for church this morning and wasn't happy with what i saw in the mirror. The little black dog on my shoulder immedialty started telling me in my ear," Who are you fooling? You will never look or be slim and fit! All this work and for what? Look in the mirror!" Well, I know this voice well and I know to ignor it. I know what my body will give me in a year if I treat it well. I have tried all day not to listen to this voice, but boy it is hard. I have just wanted to eat all day today. So, I treated myself to a subway ham on wheat with veggies for lunch, then when I got back home I had a fat free greek yogurt with some sugar free fruit spread. I cranked up the music and started cleaning house. I have told myself all day today that if I never ever lose another pound, if I never ever look and better than right now, I still love myself and will give my body what is good for it. I will treat myself well. I my not look the way that I want to look, but I will love myself and treat myself like I would others thatI love you my life. On my gosh this is such a head game!!! I know that I have to have faith that this will work!

What a great way to look at it. I like your attitude and thought; You are right though enjoy and be proud of how you look right now. That will keep you motivated to keep going.
I tell that voice to stick it where the sun does not shine!0 -
That little voice is awful isn't it. That this is as good as it gets. I push harder when it starts. I listened for far to long and ended up way unhealthy I am on the right road and though those days hit and I hate them I know I have the power now. I call my little black dog the pasta loving fat chick! BTW bad time of month and pasta loving fat chick really wants her fix and I am telling her no but the skinny girl is tired and doesn't want to make the spaghetti squash....Skinny will win she has won every battle for 8 months but fat chick still doesn't shut up. Good luck and maybe get your little black dog a zap collar for all that barking0

Some days are definitely easier than others!! It's constantly reminding yourself that you are beautiful and surrounding yourself with beautiful things and beautiful people. Be good to yourself and stay on the right track. As the days go on that little black dog on your shoulder will visit less and less often!! Take care :flowerforyou:0

Focus mediatation is doing great things for me
dont fight it just sit and relax. close your eyes and only focus on your breathing until your brain is silent.
then focus on the feeling as hard as you can and hold it for as long as possible. when your brain trys to change the subject just focus hard back on the problem. Just hold it until your brain stops focusing on it. All those obsessive doubts are just repressed emotion from your past that you need to pay attention to and get ride off. So dont think about the problem just focus on the feelings that go with it.0 -
I know exactly what you mean and today is one of those days where I just want to snack on everything. So I had an ice cream bar and added it to my calories. That means a lighter dinner but I can work with that. when I get down on not seeing results instantly I have to tell myself, I did it the other way for so many years and that wasn't working, so let's try it this for a while just to see what happens.0

I always read this quote whenever I feel discouraged or the scales being an *kitten*.
"Chill. Let's be realistic here. You don't drop two jean sizes in one day. You won't lose 50 pounds in one month. You're going to binge every now and then. You will go a day or two without working out. Your weight is going to fluctuate here and there. You're going to try new techniques, and they're not going to work. You're human. You're going to fail. But nothing great is ever accomplished without a few obstacles. You got this."0
