Ok so I know that motivation needs to come from the inside, and in theory I am motivated b/c I'm planning to workout in the near future. However, I NEED to do it today. I have skipped a day b/c of a pinched nerve along with other valid personal reasons. But now I need to get back into it, and for some reason, I can't seem to muster up the ambition. It's a lazy, rainy day...maybe that's part of it. Someone yell at me please!!

Are you serious?!?!?! I gave you all that great info and you're sitting around doing nothing about it??? Get off your @$$ and get to it girl!!

Seriously....when you feel like this, get something -- a picture of what you want to look like, or look on the internet at a health site (besides this one) read something, whatever it takes -- if i'm lacking motivation for whatever reason, i grab a men's health and realize i'm not on the cover and someone else is -- and if i wanna look like that, it's not gonna happen by accident.

plus, once you get started you feel better and get into it.

now quit thinking about it and do it!!!

Motivation doesn't ONLY come from the inside. We all need people on the outside to motivate us too! Otherwise there would be no need for this website!

If you know you need to do something then get on it! Even if that means just showing your face in the gym for a little while. Getting there is the hardest part. Once you are there it is not so bad. Go with the mind set that you are going to the gym and are not going to do anything specific but just the things that you enjoy. Even if you are sitting on the floor in your home watching TV and doing leg lifts during the commercials! Just do something...that doesn't irritate your pinched nerve.
On my non-motivated days, I go in and do the stuff that is fun for me. It might be sitting on a bike for 5 minutes and then doing 20 crunches and just spending a little time at any given machine. This way I get some kind of gym activity in and when I leave I am happier because of it.

    You can do it!!

You're right, this site does help a lot with motivation! Ok, I'm going. My pinched nerve was/is in my foot. I'm hoping that a day of rest did the trick. Thanks!!

That's awesome! It's so easy to make excuses sometimes, but it definitely helps to get a kick in the rear!!
