Im heading to the local gym tommorow morning after months of almost zero activity (expect for long walks) due to an injury in august. I would say that Im back to normal now, Thank God. ![ ](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I've been focusing on reducing the kcal intake for an entire month now and it's been going really great with 9 lbs shed after a month. Hence im chosing to take it a step further with cardio and strenght training, starting tommorow morning....but Im not sure how I can make the most of it?
Do I drop the bonus kcalories? Or should I take them in order to convince my body not to shut down and go into starvation mode? Im dedicated to completing this program and reaching my goal, however Im really am not interested in compromising my health in any way!! :noway: I have a hard time reconciling the idea of a 1000kcal burn with a 1200 kcal food intake without imagining the worst... but Im afraid of what will happen to my motivation if I plateau (or worst : gain weight,
allthough Im aware that it's the muscles that are being produced and not fat). Any ideas? preferably educated guesses??![ ](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Thank you in advance :flowerforyou:
