I was looking into how it's even possible that I've lost 62 pounds and it doesn't seem like I've dropped an inch. I know losing fat is like peeling the layers of an onion, you lose it from all over, but 62 pounds worth and you'd think I'd drop something! I've been really focused on my diet and not so much on cardio and strength training because I'm trying to get a handle on my eating habits first. I have plenty of time, after all, I got fat over 23 years so I should be alright taking a year or two to fix it

I've lost 44 inches all over but it doesn't seem like it so I started researching and found this great article about DIET AND EXERCISE AND FAT LOSS (who knew!?) : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9432085?dopt=Abstract

Essentially for all you TL;DRers: Diet alone helps reduce visceral (organ) fat while exercise reduces subcutaneous (dimply, spare tire) fat.

So to really get fit, you must do both diet and exercise. Back to 30DS for me :flowerforyou:

There is a saying I saw here: 'dieting makes you look good in clothes, exercise makes you look good naked"

A simpler way to say what the article says. I don't really care what the number on the scale is if I looked less dimply. :)
