Exhausted After Increasing Intensity of Exercise

I have been gradually increasing my level of exercise since January and am finally getting to the point that am able to increase my intensity - jogging 4-5 miles 4 times a week along with 30-45 minutes of weight training 2-3 times a week. I know I still have a long way to go, but I am finding that this increase in intensity is leaving me exhausted ALL of the time. I am getting 7-8 hours of sleep, so I know that isn't the problem.
Have others experienced the same issue? How long did your fatigue last after upping your cardio/weight training?

you probably are not eating enough...or not giving your muscles enough time to heal...or both. but, I'd up your calories with some quality protein, healthy fats and low glycemic carbs0

I had this happen last year. It turned out I wasn't eating enough to fuel my body through the more intense level of activity.
Try eating a bit more.0 -
I'm going to say electrolytes. When you sweat a lot and don't replace all that lost sodium and potassium, you end up exhausted. Try some sugar-free workout drink and see how you feel. When I used to work in a hot kitchen, I would be exhausted all the time until I started drinking salted drinks.0
