i have never been a healthy eater, im not big on veggies and im picky. i just started mfp today and i would like some help because im noticing as im tracking my food that im going over on fat and protein but staying under in calories and carbs. this is probably a stupid question but could i have some help finding low fat low protein everyday foods, doesnt have to be specific, like for instance popsicles (not really food but oh well) have no fat and no protein. any other ideas? thanks

protein is set v low on this, so dont worry about going over. eggs are high in protein. type into google low fat foods and you will get a pile up. you definately have to eat veg and fruit etc, as they are low cal and low fat and will help fill you up! good luck!0

I eat lots of protien I go over almost every day. I even added extra, I keep carbs low, and sodium lower. I eat alot of meat, not pre-made. I do alot fo cooking from scratch..0

You don't need to worry that much about being over on protein, like the first poster said, it's low on here.
My question, what kinds of veggies do you like?0 -
You want the high protein.0

Look at the nutrition information. It'll tell you everything you need to know.0

You can go over protein. its ok. Protein can help keep you full longer too. And to go over by eating the good fats is ok too. I would be more focused on staying under your sugar, carbs and sodium.0

First please disregard the pre-set nutrient levels...go to your goal setting under your home tab. Select change goals, then custom settings you want 35% for carbs, 40% for protein, and 25% for fat. MFP tends to have a very low protein setting and this is a problem for a lot of people. Protein helps keep you full (so does fiber) and you can eat up to 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight but no more than 150 grams per day- this allows you to maintain muscle while losing fat which will help keep from ending up skinny fat. Don't forget to do toning, not just cardio.
I had trouble with food in the beginning but the farther into my journey I got the more foods I have learned to not just eat but enjoy. You are welcome to friend me and look thru my diary. I'll warn you I'm far from perfect about my eating habits (especially lately, I've been sick and traveling for work not the best combo). This is a journey not a diet, you will have great days, good days, okay days, bad days, and terrible days. Don't get discouraged, troll the forums for tips, advice and support. You can do this!0 -
