Its hard to start.
Ive tried again, and again, and again.
I stuck to it for the last month.
I'm down 12 pounds.
It's the best feeling, and now Im excited to keep going!

You're right about the starting part. Now that you have that behind you, its still tuff but at least your body and mind are getting used to it. GOOD LUCK0

I know how you feel.
I must have failed so many times in the past but I've stuck through it this time and I just hit my 6 months mark! I have NEVER been able to do that before. It feels great doesn't it?!
If it helps to keep you getting on with it, I was able to break down the major differences between my failures in the past and success now. It's not gospel, but it helped me push through the months:
1) Know what you want - it's easy to say you want to lose weight but how MUCH EXACTLY are you looking for? What is your goal? To get in the smaller size jeans, to feel confident on the beach - for me, it was wanting to be healthy. I wanted to weigh 90kg's.
2) Know how to get it - again, it's easy to say I have to run to lose weight and eat right but HOW? I found this website PARAMOUNT to learning the how's to keep me going - calorie counting, exercise logging, the whole lot.
3) Know how to keep doing it in the face of adversity - this one took me a while to learn. I think this is most important and is the key difference to sticking to it or giving up. When you reach moments that make you feel like giving up (putting on a little more weight, no one recognising the differences, feeling like you've made no progress, scale isn't budging, etc.) just remind yourself that this is not a 'diet' that you have to do once and then never again. It's a lifestyle change, and if done right, will pretty much become the way you live from now on. It's not easy but it is worth it.0
