I started doing compound lifting and squats for the first time yesterday (100 squats and compound lifts), so today I am super sore. I could barely do my daily cardio, feeling quite exhausted. If I am still this sore tomorrow, should I do the squats again, or should I wait until I am not so sore? I will push myself to do it again tomorrow if that's what is best, but man. Today I am hurtin'.

Stick with it, the soreness will eventually go away.
  • Me personally if I was to sore i'll wait it out. No need to cause any damage to my body. That will just set me back further.

Get right back in there and work out, I always feel better after I get back in there and workout some of that soreness. Just know the difference between muscle soreness and an injury... If just sore than you will be fine going tomorrow.... Best of Luck...

Keep pushing. My first couple weeks of weight lifting was so painful I had to load up on Icy Hot haha.

Wise one told me to lift 3 times a week, do a brisk walk or something to that sort on the other days and weekends no lifting...your muscles need 24 hours to repair themselves. You can work on upper body one day and lower the next. But you do need a day off of the weights. He's doing this and is doing well. I lift MWF. I'm only wanting to tone up, so not really into the body building.
