Ladies, not to get too personal or anything, but do you think your period effects weighing in as far as extra weight?

Yes. You hold onto water weight. Don't worry about it.0

absolutely!! lol... I am up a good 2 pounds prior to the start of my TOM. After, I drop it. For me, it is water!0
-
I typically gain a few pounds (even up to five) right before and then lose them again as soon as I get it.0
-
oh hell yeah during that week i gain 5 pounds and about a day or two after its all gone! lol I wouldn't weigh yourself during that week!0
-
absolutely....I lose 2lbs 3 days prior and then gain 4lbs during usually.0
-
It certainly does!
When you begin to ovulate, your uterus begins lining itself with blood and nutrients in preparation for supporting a baby. This builds and builds (and you usually retain water overall as well because your hormones are going full bore), until, when your body realizes the egg hasn't been fertilized, that it can "let loose."
Ah, the wonders (and downright grossness ) of the human body!! :happy:0 -

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I am 5 lbs heavier a week before and the week during. For what? For 2 days of that crap?! I can even feel it and see it through my inches! Totally has a difference. I do not step on the scale at that time.0
-
hi < yes it does you can possibly gain up to 5 pounds sometimes. You can also gain weight when your sick. But it falls back down when your body goes back to normal.0
-
Dang the new forum rules that prohibit me from saying what any normal human would like to say in response to this.0 -
I gain 5 pounds every month and even though I know it'll go away within a couple of days, it always mortifies me!0
-
I'm thinking the only "NO" response you'll get to this question will be from a man
By the way....put me down for a big YES0 -
Yes. Hormones absolutely have affect the amount of fluid your body retains. No big deal! I usually have a nice drop when it ends!0
-
Heck ya.0
-
Minimum of 7 lbs for me0
-
I won't weigh myself that week.0
-
Yes, absolutely. I skipped my weigh in this week due to it. Hate it so much. I keep telling myself that the weight isn't accurate due to it, but it is a bit frustrating to see all that work gone due to hormones. Granted, it's just temporary, but still slightly maddening.0
-
What about the intensity of you workouts ... do you find you just can't do it at that time of the month?0
-
 Oh hell ya. About 6lbs. Doesn't bother me, it all comes back off. That's the beautiful thing about water weight and remembering you didn't overeat thousands of calories and suddenly gain 6lbs of fat0
-
Absolutely! For me it varies, just keep hydrated and don't give in to craving if you have any. On occasion will be 5 pounds, usually it's 3 pounds or so, comes down afterward however0
-
Oh most definitely!0
