Recently I've been reading about food combining and I wonder if anyone with real nutritional knowledge wants to weigh in on this topic? Is it really more beneficial to separate (or eat first) protein and starches, then follow with non-starchy veggies? Is there any merit to this at all? (e.g. http://mynewroots.blogspot.com/2012/03/all-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-food.html)
On that topic, enzyme supplements, are they helpful? Other than a liquid probiotic, I don't really take supplements, but recently started taking supplemental enzymes at the suggestion of a friend. I eat fairly whole foods to begin with, and I'm wondering if I should bother with them or just save my $25 (YES, TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS) and continue with my diet as is.
