Hi pebbs. . .

Well, today is my scheduled day off, but I'll get some walking in, as my day off is always errand day and I don't have a car. I've been really wondering about my weight loss stall, and I've adjusted my calories (again) down. I ate at maintenance for about six months, so I'm hoping that some long-term calorie cycling will jumpstart me again. I haven't weighed, but my clothes are fitting differently. I measured yesterday, and I've gained half an inch in my hips and my waist (each, not total). I feel firmer (so maybe some of it is muscle size) but I'd still like to drop some body fat %.
I'm also trying to watch my grain carbs and refined sugars, as that's the area where I go "out of control" most often.

I continue to be a grand experiment.

    V, I hope things shift for you soon. You work so hard, and you deserve it!

    My arms are still shaky when bent at the elbow, from using the weed eater for half an hour yesterday. I hope I can hold Alex in the pool this morning! I am a little nervous about the class but I know it will be okay. New things are always very overwhelming and scary to me. Once I get to where I am going then I settle down (well, except waiting at the doctor's office. :tongue: ).
    Before I put on my swim suit, I said to myself, "I sure wish this suit fit like it did a year and a half ago when I was 141." It didn't, but I did notice the bottoms fit better than they did in Houston! I think my bottom is shrinking! Which says a lot because that is my biggest feature. I am still wearing shorts over it and a top over the top of the suit. :laugh: Not feeling that confident yet!
    Other than the swim class, we are going to stand in line to get Alex's passport. The line was not moving last weekend so we will try it again. I don't know if I will get anything else done other than a little cleaning. Oh and I need to work on my Russian. :bigsmile:

    Did I mention I made the appointment for my Dexa scan on Monday? I will find out if anything has changed in the last year. I doubt it, since I haven't changed in weight. It will be a good start to the next challenge.

    Didn't do headstand yesterday but walked for about 2 hours. Today is yoga and more walking or walk/jog at the gym. I like it when Animal Planet is on.

    Good morning, all! I managed to get my pushups done last night. Today the weather looks pretty nice, so I am hoping we can go on a hike. And that's all I've got planned, exercise-wise! I am thinking I should maybe start adding in some more strength training again other than pushups for our next round - not sure if I want to go back to my "12 minutes a day" program, or just schedule some other exercises on my own. I kinda want to work on my butt a little bit. :blushing:

    Depending on how things go, I might go shopping today or tomorrow to buy myself some birthday clothes (only my jeans fit well right now, though I have 2-3 other pairs of pants that I can make work). (I hate shopping, though.) I also want to spend some time working on my home theater project. :tongue:

    So this challenge ends Monday? Should we set an end date for the next one? July 4th doesn't seem quite long enough - maybe Bastille Day, or beginning of August?

    Hi All! I like hearing everyone's Saturday plans, and am thinking of a swim after reading MM's post.

    I've got a black tie fundraiser for Sea Shepherd (the "save the whales" people) and they're going to screen the first episode of Whale Wars. So excited! I haven't decided what to wear yet.

    So today I'm going to eat light, maybe go for a swim and/or a hike and basically do whatever I can to get out of my own head. Lots of negative thoughts percolating in there and I am working on letting go and getting out of my own way.

    So that's it for me today. Saturday boogaloo!
