Hi there,
I was looking at my report for net calories for the last 7 days and still don't quite understand it, is it good to be in positive numbers but under your daily target ( mine is 1200) or is it good to be in negitive numbers?

I believe that negative numbers mean you have gone OVER your allotted calories for that day.

Or does net calories mean where say you eat 1400 and burnt off 500, are your net calories only 900??
Would this example be good or bad?

That would be bad - your net calories should be at least 1200. :flowerforyou:

i've noticed in a few posts...mainly the tall girls post...that 1200 is really, not a lot of calories. if you go a little over i think that is still really healthy and on the right path.

net calories means what you ate minus what you burned. the net amount going into your system.

you should be aiming at getting the food diary to reflect that you have 0 cals left for the day.

That said, if you go over (showing a negative number) it's not a real big deal unless you go over by a lot.

    <50 in the negative=okay
    >100 in the negative=scale back tomorrow
    >multiple hundred=you are hindering your progress.

    That makes sense
