Golf as exercise

How accurate is the calorie computer for playing golf? It seems pretty high and I'm not sure how to count the time since when we play a twosome we get finished much sooner than a foursome, yet the actual physical activity would be about the same.

the best way to know is to get a heart rate monitor. all online calculators, including ours, are estimates. everybody's different, so if you really want to be accurate, a HRM is the way to go.

Polar has nice but expensive ones, Reebok is great and cheaper, the cheapest ones are kinda crappy. I'd say spend at least about $40.

The online computer gives the option of with or without cart.....so that is cool; but the time designation is what throws me off.....and as for the heart rate monitor, that might be the way to go if it gives an accurate reading throughout the game, adjusting for the non-activity times. I'll look into that thanks!
