HOLY JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My legs are on fire and weak at the same time... Will I ever feel like I don't want to die at the end of the 20 minute ride?!

I'm so tired and I just woke up, this isn't going to be good...

You have to build endurance my dear. :p How many miles is it to work?

I would be no good at riding a bike. I get super sweaty!

Make sure you're in the right gear. If it feels hard to pedal, shift until there's only some resistance.
It's better exercise to spin faster than it is to mash the pedals.

  • I am getting a bike this week. I am going to ride it instead of doing cardio on the treadmill. Boyfriend just bought one as well. Sooo I will be feeling your pain soon enough! But.. kudos on riding your bike. That *kitten* will be even sexier in no time!

maybe its uphill to work... and going home will be easier going down hill :-D You will work up to it in no time. I bike a few miles in only about 5 minutes now - and I am NOT in shape. I just learned how to work the gears properly (FINALLY) and ride almost daily. Gears make a WORLD of difference. Not just knowing when to go into what gear but also the best way to change gears on your bike. My sisters 3 speed cruiser your change when NOT peddling, while on my 21 speed mountains bike you change gears while peddling.

Mine has a bunch, but the chain is clicking on the metal part that controls the gears... IDK what's wrong with it...
