Loose vs. Lose (baby rant)

I'm posting this cause it bugs me when I see "loose" used incorrectly ALL the time.

LOSE = [looz] "I need to LOSE weight" (LOSE, LOSING, LOST)

LOOSE = [loos] "Since I started losing weight, my pants are too LOOSE" (LOOSE, LOOSER, LOOSEST--never loosing--no such word)

This is to help with writing about weight loss, I suppose, not actual practical diet/weight loss help. That's all. :0)

Happy LOSING!!

Can't agree more with your post. I've noticed over the last few years that more and more people use the word 'loose' when they mean 'lose'. It seems the more it's used the more people think that's how it should be written. For some reason it really annoys me!
    Happy losing
