Does anyone have one? We just got a boy named Kai. Need some tips on bonding. I have been doing the bonding pouch, the scent in his cage. Any other ideas?

I used to have 2, they are so sweet! I used to wear them in the pouch of my hoodie! Bonding takes time, good luck!

I used to have one when I was a kid. I've heard you have to get them VERY VERY young. Ours was too old to bond with so he pretty much stayed in his cage for like a year and then died...

No advice, but those things are just too freaking cute!

I think if I got one, though, my cats would think it a snack. :-(

    Per FDA info:

Sugar Glider (raw) 240 calories, protein 20g, carbohydrate 9 grams, total fat 5 grams.

    I say go for it.

They taste good grilled with some bbq sauce.

I am guessing that is the only way this topic should be on MFP. Is this food or exercise related??

These little things are precious to look at but believe me not all fun to have. My brother had one and they never got to play with it. It is a noctural animal. Therefore it sleeps during the day and up all night. Maybe good for you if you work night shift but bad for everyone else. Might want to rethink having one. Bonding is almost impossible unless you want to be up all night. Sorry, I know this is not good news but alltogether is truthful. :-)

From what I remember they are very social animals and should not live alone - especially as they are most active when we humans are asleep! Please consider getting him a playmate, he will be much happier

Edit: Unless of course you have just added a newbie to your colony, in which case ignore me :embarassed:
