I have been doing exercise 45min cardio and eating 1000 cal if not working out, or more when I do workout. I read this post and did this fat to fit ratio and it says I should eat 1838 calories and I guess I will create a deficit with exercise, so dont add in the calories I burned. But I am confused, Eating that many calories (1838) seems like A LOT!! I dont want to gain weight....but I only lost like 1.5 pounds and I am really bummed out....The post I read says if you eat to little calories your body holds on to the fat so....anyone have any advice, suggestions, or knowledge of this? I did bump up my calories to 1200 a day, and when I workout I will probably eat more

There is some good info in this MFP group-

It seems like a lot- but your body will use it for fueling your workouts and your life. Yes- you can even lose weight0 -
Eating 1200 a day and eating more on days when you work out seems like a pretty solid plan, actually. From your picture, it doesn't look like you have that much to lose, so going too high or too low in how much you eat each day would likely slow down your loss.1

If you have less to lose- then you need to eat closer to your TDEE. Eating too far below that will slow your weightloss. Also- are you sure it's weight loss you're after and not toning and lifting? If it's more tone and lift then look into lifting weights- it really transforms your body.
There's a lot of good info on the link I posted earlier. I know it seems counter intuitive- but it works.0 -
