Vegetarian indulgences

It seems that the non-veggie options out there are the most popular indulgences. Juicy cheeseburger, a giant steak, etc.

But, there are plenty of forbidden foods on the vegetarian side of the fence.

My favorite:

Pita, stuffed with falafel, baba ghanoush, a little *extra* tahini, sprouts, tomato, cucumber, and maybe even a little *more* tahini.
Throw some Israeli pickles on the side.

And I know the perfect place in NYC to get this sorta stuff...

Come one people, let's see some veggie love!

I don't eat cheese that often because I get horrible stomach aches but there is nothing like (and totally worth the pain) homade Mac-N-Cheese!!

Also, Thai and Indian Food dishes....and I can consume a whole lot of tabbouleh! :)

Except wine, I eat every one of those things every single day.

    MMMMMM.

And don't get me started on Indian! Oy. Some cheese naan, vegetable pakora ...

    Here's one.

*any* of the Cypress Grove cheeses.

Humboldt Fog - looks Morbier. Do not be fooled. It's a ripened chevre. Insane.
Truffle Tremor - Humboldt Fog plus black truffles.

bread, cheese and wine is pretty high up on my list too. crusty baguette or sourdough = awesome.

I had the most delicious wrap recently: roasted red pepper hummus, a generous serving of tabbouleh and balsamic glaze. Flavor party!

And then put some bacon on it to make it REALLY good! ;-)

I'd second the Indian food, very delicious, very rich, and quite often veggie-friendly. Paneer masala is one of my favorites there.

If you want something warm with a lot of fluids, laksa soup is a really good, really rich (coconut oil) soup that hits the spot EVERY time.

I always laugh when people tell me they want to become vegan because it will help them lose weight or say that being vegetarian is a surefire way to be thin.

I always point out that even a vegan can eat a whole bag of potato chips.

Having a bit of french bread with some cheese and cheap wine is one of my favorite things ever! Such a great combination.

I can make a mean vegetarian chocolate zuchinni muffin! Mmmm!
