Insanity Nutrition advice--any success upping calories?

Hi everyone,
So, I've finished month 1 of Insanity and have definitely lost inches, and have been consuming about 1500-1700 calories per day. However, I've only lost 1 or 2 pounds.
According to the formula, I should be eating about 2300 calories per day. Should I add in the extra 6-700 calories for a week and see if I lose any weight? Or just stick with the inches?
Seems like a lot to add to my diet... If you've had success doing this and losing weight please let me know. Thanks!

Insanity is an intense workout and if you give it 100% then you burn a lot of calories. If you give it 50% you probably still burn a ton of calories .... Make sure you get your goal for the day. A handful of nuts (almonds, pistachios, walnuts) are a good way to add to that goal. I think you will see a larger loss if you up your calories some.0
