Can you eat too little salt?

Hi,
As I don't add salt to my food either when cooking or after and eat a lot of home cooked foods, I'm consistantly coming 1000-2000 below my salt target. Am I fine or should I be adding more salt into my diet, I'm genuinely confused.
Thanks

The minimum is 500mg/day.0

Thanks. There are occasional days that I'm 20 or so under that, but on the whole I'm above.0

Depending on the source the daily minimums vary between 500 & 1000 mg and despite its bad reputation you do need sodium, especially if you're exercising vigorously on a regular basis.0

I have been on a salt restricted diet my entire adult life. I also eat mostly home cooking to keep my salt low. Foods naturally have salt. Bread, dairy products, seaweed. So nature gives you enough salt and it is much healthier for you.0
