Staying within calories while sick?

So I currently have the flu, and I'm still eating within my calories but I'm eating less than I normally would since I don't have much of an appetite. (I'm allowed 1570, but I've been eating about 1100-1200) Should I try to eat things with more calories to make up for the ones I'm missing out on?

Sorry to hear you are sick...thats never fun and I hope you feel better soon. I would let your body guide you on what you eat, and if you are a little under I'm sure it will be okay while your body is fighting off your flu. I'd say the most important thing is fluids and eating the right foods....lots of fruits and veggies. Try smoothies that way you can get in those calories.0
